Why early intervention matters
School disengagement rarely begins with permanent exclusion. Warning signs can emerge earlier — through reduced engagement, difficulties with attendance, repeated removals from lessons or a growing sense that education has little connection to a young person’s future.
THE K.I.D REALITY — Kick It Down Reality — is being developed as an early-intervention approach designed to engage young people before those difficulties become entrenched.
By combining immersive learning, personalisation and future-focused goals, the programme aims to help pupils reconnect learning with possibility while supporting schools to identify and respond to disengagement earlier.
Our approach is evidence-informed. Our impact will be measured.
